The ball started rolling for the first Barbie doll in 1945. While observing her daughter play with paper dolls, Ruth Handler was inspired to begin the development of a doll that girls could use to role play. Finally, in 1959, Ruth and her husband's company, Mattel, released the first Barbie doll. The retail price was $3.00 and 300,000 sold in the first year. Fast forward to 2017, and Ruth's intentions to make toys that would inspire kids to dream big and aim high, continue on with the introduction of the Beekeeper Barbie Career doll and play set series. A doll to inspire realistic role-playing and all day fun. We just have a few left, and they are available for 10% off for one day only.
